MONSTER UFC COMPETITION - TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions apply exclusively to this Promotional Competition ("Competition"). Participation in the Competition constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions. By entering the Competition participants agree to have read, understood, and accepted the same.

This promotional competition is organized by Monster Energy Beverage Company South Africa, Coca-Cola Beverages of South Africa (Proprietary) Limited, and Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages (Pty) Ltd, and is run and administered by Hirt & Carter Digital Solutions (Proprietary Limited), the ("Promoter/s").

The name of the Competition is Monster Energy - Win a Trip to Las Vegas for UFC Fight Week. 

The promotion will run from 01 February 2022 at 00h00 and ends on 31 March 2022 at 23h59 ("Competition Period").

No entries after the Competition Period ("Late Entries") will be accepted.

The Competition is open to permanent residents and citizens of the Republic of South Africa, who are 18 (eighteen) years or older.

The promotion is not open to employees and their immediate families of Monster Energy Beverage Company South Africa, Coca-Cola Beverages of South Africa (Pty) Ltd, Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages (Pty) Ltd and Hirt & Carter Digital Solutions (Proprietary Limited). The Promotion is not open to any agencies, sales agents/ merchandisers, packaging suppliers and their immediate family members (spouses, life partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren) or their business partners, or any person who is (i) a director, member, partner, or agent of, or consultant to the Promoter or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by, the Promoter; or (ii) a supplier of goods or services in connection with the Promoter.

The Competition is only valid within South Africa. Participants must be within South Africa at the time of entering the Competition, for the verification process and at the time of the prize being awarded should they be declared the Winner, failing which such person will be disqualified and the draw of a replacement entry shall take place under the same terms and conditions as the first draw.

The winner must hold a valid South African ID; must be over the age of 18 and must have a valid South African Passport. Winners will also need to be fully vaccinated and might have to take a booster shot to enter in the United States of America subject to all required Covid 19 protocol testing. By entering any of our competitions you acknowledge that, should you be a winner, you may be required to provide proof of identification and other documentation as may be required to comply with statutory requirements. The prize will only be awarded once the verification process has been completed and confirmed as per the rules of this promotional competition. By entering the competition, entrants acknowledge that the competition will be managed in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.

All participants must have a South African bank account or potential access to one.

Total prize value of the Trip: R120 000.00 (winner + guest)

COVID19: UFC Las Vegas Trip may be subject to postponement/cancellation. In the event of the trip being subject to cancellation for any reason, the prize will be transferred into a cash prize to the value of a single ticket trip to the event.

Secondary prizes available - x10 UFC branded T-shirt & Hoodie combos valued at R1000.00 each.

To enter this Competition, Participants will be required to do the following:

Purchase any Monster (500 ml) from participating outlets

SMS keyword: "UFC" and the unique code under the tab to 33651

Retain the tab with unique number and till slip/s for proof of purchase from participating stores

SMS charged at R1.50 (ONE RAND, FIFTY CENTS), free and bundled SMS's do not apply. Entries are restricted to cell phone entries only and errors will be billed. (T&Cs url link - www.tandcs.co.za/monsterenergy).

By entering this competition Participants are given the opportunity to Opt In to allow Monster Energy and Hirt & Carter Digital Solutions, and their respective Brands to collect, store and use (not share) their personal information for communication, statistical purposes and marketing communication.

Participants may enter multiple times subject to each entry being linked to a new separate purchase and till slip. Participants will only be eligible to win once during the Competition Period. There will be one winner and one backup-winner. All qualifying participants will be entered into the final draw. All eligible winners will be drawn from all valid entries received.

The winner/s of the competition will be chosen by an audited random draw. The draw will take place one week from closing date. Between the 07/04/2022- 14/ 04/2022. Winners will be informed via SMS/email/telephone call. Any expenses incurred by winner/s, other than the items listed in the prize will be for the winner/s own account.

In the event of the UFC Trip being cancelled, at the discretion of the promoters, winners will be asked for their banking details in order to collect the cash prize at the value of a single ticket worth for the entire potential trip. Cash prizes will be transferred into winners' nominated bank accounts within 30 days from date of receipt of correct banking details and required identification documents.

Should a winner/s choose not to accept the prize he/she will forfeit the prize and a new winner/s will be drawn. Entries, which are unclear, illegible, are submitted via an incorrect entry mechanism or contain errors will be declared invalid. Prizes are not transferable, negotiable and/or redeemable for cash in any way whatsoever and the promoters are not liable for any defect in the prizes. The Promoters reserve the right to substitute prizes with any other prize of comparable commercial value. The Promoters are not liable for any technical failures affecting the participation and/or Prize redemption process of the Competition.

The promoters will make all reasonable attempts to contact the winner/s but if any winner/s cannot be contacted within 48 (Forty-Eight) hours from the date of the relevant draw, and if after 3 attempted calls, the promoter reserves the right to draw a new winner/s. It is the entrant's responsibility to provide the correct contact details. Calls may be recorded for verification purposes. In order for the particular entry to be confirmed as valid, the eligible Winner will be required to provide their till slips, tab with unique number and proof of identification, including their full name, contact number and e-mail address. The unique code used to enter needs to be valid and accurate.

Winners have 7 days from being contacted to submit their identification and any other required verification documents as may be requested to claim their prizes. Prizes not claimed within this period will be forfeited and the participant will be responsible for the cost of submitting proof of purchase and entering the promotion and any network charges that apply, as per the tariff rates charged by the participant's mobile network provider.

The Promoter and agents shall not be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the entrants in connection with this competition or the use of the prizes.

The Promoters may require the Winner to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification to enable the Promoters to ensure compliance with these Terms and Conditions as well as the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should the Winner refuse or be unable to comply with this clause for any reason, such a Winner will be deemed to have rejected the Prize and it shall revert back to the Promoters. All risk and ownership of the prizes shall pass to the winners on transfer/delivery thereof.

The Promoters may require the Winner to be identified, photographed, and published in printed media, social media, digital media channels, or to appear on radio and/or television, when accepting their Prize or after having received their Prize. The Winner will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their image and to participate in the Promoters' marketing materials in so far as it relates to the Competition. The Promoters may use the uploaded images in whole or in part, and any reproductions thereof, worldwide for advertising, promotion, publicity or otherwise on any website for any media purpose and for any other lawful purpose whatsoever.

By posting any content, experiences, or images on any social media platform, in relation to this Competition and its associated promotional activities, Participants consent and give the Promoters a world-wide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license, to reproduce, modify, adapt, and publish any content posted and/or submitted by a Participant on a social media platform, for the purposes of promoting the products and services of the Promoters. Any violation or attempt to violate any of the above rules will result in the immediate disqualification of the transgressor. Should any dispute arise in relation to the interpretation of these competition rules, the Promoters' decision shall be final.

The Promoter reserves the right to terminate and or amend the Promotion immediately and without notice, if circumstances beyond its reasonable control prevent the Promoter, its associated companies (directors, officers, and employees) agents and suppliers, from continuing to conduct the Promotion. In the event of such termination, as far as the law allows, all Participants acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter, its associated companies (directors, officers, and employees) agents and suppliers, in respect thereof.

As far as the law allows the Promoter, its associated companies (directors, officers and employees) agents and suppliers, shall not be responsible for a Participant's failure to access the Promotion for any reason whatsoever incl including, by way of example only, as a consequence of communications or network failures. These Terms and Conditions are available at www.tandcs.co.za/monsterenergy
