Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. ELIGIBILITY – This Competition is conducted by [dot]GOOD and Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages, Coca-Cola Bottler in Western Cape (Herein after referred to as “The Organisers”) and is open to the following eight schools in the Western Cape:  Cascade Primary School, Morgenson Primary School, Nerina Primary School, Eluxolweni Primary School, Mokone Primary School, Parkvale Primary School, Arcadia Primary School, Kukhanyile Primary School (Herein after referred to as “The Schools”).
  1. ACCEPTANCE – By entering the Competition all participants and winners agree to be bound by these rules, which will be interpreted by the Organisers, in their sole discretion and their decision regarding any dispute will be conclusive, final and binding and will not be challenged on any grounds, including without limitation, the grounds that the Organisers failed to act reasonably, fairly, in good faith or otherwise in accordance with the principles of procedural fairness.
  1. DETAILS – The competition runs from 1 August 2016 to 30 September 2016 for the following schools:  Cascade Primary School, Morgenson Primary School, Nerina Primary School, Eluxolweni Primary School, Mokone Primary School, Parkvale Primary School

AND

From 17 August 2016 to 31 October 2016 for the following schools:   Arcadia Primary School, Kukhanyile Primary School. (Hereafter known as “the Period”)

3.1Entrants enter by completing, signing and returning an entry form before the start date.

3.2All Entrants must comply with the Competition by participating in the following:

3.2.1    CLEAN UP DAY - The launch events and clean up days are to take place at each individual school from 10 – 19 August 2016 during morning assembly as arranged with The Schools by The Organisers.  The details of the clean up are confirmed as follows:

3.2.1.1        Waste Want (Recycling Partner) will supply recycling bins/ bags to each of The Schools. 

3.2.1.2        The Schools are responsible for maintaining the facilities supplied by Waste Want.

3.2.1.3        The School commits to identifying an area within walking distance of their premises to conduct a litter clean up

3.2.1.4        The School commits to assisting in getting the entire school to participate in this clean up

3.2.1.5        Posters and leaflets will be supplied by The Organisers to The Schools

3.2.1.6        The School is responsible for marketing the event to its learners

3.2.1.7        Learners will still be under the supervision of school during the aforementioned time

3.2.1.8        The School is required to seek the relevant permissions from parents for this outing

3.2.1.9        The School agrees to having The Organiserson their premises for the duration of the launch event and clean up

3.2.1.10     The Organisers will not be responsible for the safety of any learner nor the property of any participant, staff member or any other persons, or for the loss or injury or damage of the same for any cause whatsoever

  1. JUDGING -

4.1The decision of Organiser is final and Organisers shall not enter into any correspondence about the result.

4.2Organiser shall not be liable for any disruption to the Competition, whether due to technical problems or otherwise, which is beyond its reasonable control. In the event of any disruption to the Competition.  The Promoter shall use its reasonable endeavours to remedy the disruption and resume the Competition on a fair and equitable basis to The Schools.

4.3By entering this Competition The Schools agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

4.4The three winning schools will be determined by the most waste collected per capita: Total waste collected through the recycling drive and at the Clean Up divided by the number of learners.

4.5The R 30 000 first prize, R 20 000 second prize and R10 000 third prize, will be paid directly to third party suppliers (identified by The School) to provide improvements to The School. No monies will be paid to the winning school directly.

4.6The full prize monies must be allocated within three months of prize being announced.

4.7The R 30 000, R 20 000 and R10 000 prizes are all VAT inclusive.

4.8The Organisers reserve the right to terminate this competition at any time and substitute the prizes with an alternative of the same commercial value, should a situation arise that is outside of its' control.

4.9Winning participants will be contacted telephonically by the 3rd of November 2016.

4.10 A prize giving ceremony will be held at the premises of the winning school and representatives from the 2nd and 3rd prize winning schools will be invited to attend.

4.11 By entering this competition, The Schools have given The Organisers permission to publish pictures of the launch and clean up event, the prize giving ceremony and the improvements to the winning schools in the media.
